张晓东女士,中国民盟盟员,北京市市民讲外语组委会顾问,北京市企业家协会会员,北京大学管理学研究生,环球雅思学校董事长、北京环球天下教育科技有限公司董事长。
1989年至1997年出任中国大饭店国际会议部总监。期间她曾经参与策划组织了数次在中国召开的世界级会议,包括世界妇女大会、世界水产大会、世界地质大会等,安排包括美国总统克灵顿在内的多国总统来华行程,她出色的工作能力受到了国际来宾高度的评价及赞许。
1997年出任环球雅思学校董事长后,张晓东女士积极参与北京市提高市民英文能力和奥运英语的各种活动,连续4年参加“北京市市民外语游园会”,为市外办和北京市电视台组织的“北京市行业英语大赛”赞助数万元的课程,支持市团委免费英语课程,为残联连续3年赠送120余万元英语培训课程,多次受到政府表彰。她所领导的环球雅思连锁学校在短短9年内,建立了近50所分校,作为中国民办教育第一家,05年成功地在台湾建立分校,06年成功地在澳大利亚建立分校,为北京和中国的教育事业增光添彩。

Being President of Global IELTS School since 1997, Ms. Zhang Xiaodong actively participated in the series of activities aimed at improving the English proficiency of Beijing residents and Olympic English, took part in the Beijing Speaks to the World during four successive years, sponsored Beijing English Competition of all Works, provided free English courses to China Communist Youth League Beijing Committee, and donated RMB 1,200,000 yuan comprehensive English courses to Beijing Disabled Person Federation. Ms. Zhang and Global IELTS School were appraised by the Beijing Municipal Government. Global IELTS School has set up more than fifty franchise schools around the world in nine years. It is the first private school in China that built a school in Taiwan in 2005, and set up schools in Australia in 2006.
