hmm,首先我们想想大学校园里的建筑都有哪些：cafeteria/canteen食堂，dorm/dormitory/hall of residence学生宿舍楼，gym体育馆或者健身房，administration building行政楼，student union building学生会大楼，recreation center休闲中心（在有的学校和student union building 放在一起），至于教学楼么，一般不叫teaching building，而是叫...Hall,或者faculty building,不过校园建筑里最好说的还是。。。library!因为--
外观上，国内大学的library多数是四方的，英语叫 looks blocky或者 foursquare,(近年来美国的图书馆有盖得越来越拽的趋势，我个人最喜欢Rem Koohaas 设计的Seattle Public Library，是真正的信息时代建筑)。如果有玻璃幕墙，就叫glass curtain wall,如果有曲线墙，就是curved wall,外观漂亮说The exterio is gorgeous,室内也好看说 The interior is neat as well..入口门厅是entrance hall或者lobby,更专业的说法是vestibule,厅里的大柱子enormous pillars / massive columns , 办理借书的柜台是circulation desk,还书可以在drop box,如果要说阅览室说reading room考官就能听懂，还有一种group study room可以集体学习加讨论但是一般要租钥匙，有些图书馆设置了一些study carrels,可以自己坐在里面看书。书库分两种，一种是closed stacks另一种是open stacks,目录室叫catalog room,复印室叫photocopy room,计算机房computer lab,多媒体室可以叫multi-media
classrooms, 有些图书馆有self-access center也是类似的功能，如果你说图书馆里的气氛很让人放松The ambience here is really refreshing and soothing,如果说这里是智慧的宝库It is a fount of wisdom,是求知者的乐园It is the mecca for knowledge-craving students!
